On this day in 1989, 14 young women were murdered at the École Polytechnique de Montréal in a tragic and senseless act of gender violence. Today and every day, we mourn the loss of these bright young souls, and commit to ending gender-based violence and creating a better Canada that is fairer, more tolerant, safer, and more equal.
